Help & setup

Set up your eSIM

Everything you need to install, activate and troubleshoot your travel eSIM. When something depends on your specific plan, we say so rather than guess.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Pick your brand and enter the model. We'll tell you what we know — when in doubt we point you to a quick settings check rather than guess.

Your device must also be network-unlocked. This checker is a guide, not a guarantee — the definitive test is whether your phone shows an “Add eSIM” option in settings.

Installing your eSIM

After payment confirms, your private order page shows a QR code for each eSIM. Scan it from the phone where you want to use it.

Install on iPhone / iPad
  1. 1Open Settings
  2. 2Tap Mobile Service (or Cellular)
  3. 3Tap Add eSIM (or Set Up Cellular)
  4. 4Choose Use QR Code
  5. 5Scan the QR code shown on your order page
  6. 6Turn the new eSIM on when you are ready to use it

Exact menu names vary slightly by iOS version.

Install on Android
  1. 1Open Settings
  2. 2Go to Network & Internet (or Connections)
  3. 3Tap SIMs (or SIM Manager)
  4. 4Tap Add eSIM (or Download a SIM instead)
  5. 5Scan the QR code shown on your order page

Menu names vary by manufacturer (Samsung, Google, and others).

Data Roaming

Some travel eSIMs require Data Roaming to be enabled. If your eSIM has signal but no data, check whether Data Roaming needs to be enabled for this plan in your settings.

Having trouble?
  1. 1Confirm your device supports eSIM
  2. 2Confirm your device is network-unlocked
  3. 3Restart your device
  4. 4Make sure the eSIM is turned on
  5. 5Select the eSIM for mobile data
  6. 6Enable Data Roaming if the plan needs it
  7. 7Wait a few minutes for the network to register
Do not remove an installed eSIMunless you are sure it can be reinstalled — many eSIM profiles can only be installed once.

Frequently asked questions

eSIM basics

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you install a data plan by scanning a QR code. Your physical SIM keeps working alongside it.

Does the eSIM include a phone number?

Most travel data eSIMs are data-only and do not include a phone number, unless the specific package states otherwise. You can still use apps like WhatsApp or Signal over the data connection.

Can I use WhatsApp or Signal with an eSIM?

Yes. Messaging and calling apps work over the data connection, so they run normally once your eSIM has internet access.

How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?

Use the "Does my phone support eSIM?" checker in the shop, or check manually: on iPhone go to Settings → Cellular/Mobile Service and look for Add eSIM; on Android go to Settings → Network / SIM Manager and look for Add eSIM. Your device should also be network-unlocked.

Installing & activating

How do I install my eSIM?

After payment confirms, your order page shows a QR code for each eSIM. Scan it from the device where you want to use the eSIM, following your phone’s Add eSIM flow. Manual activation details are also provided if you cannot scan.

When should I install my eSIM?

You can usually install the eSIM as soon as you receive it and activate it when you need it. When the plan’s validity period starts can depend on the specific package — check the plan details for anything shown about activation.

When does the plan start?

This depends on the specific package. Some plans start on install, others on first network connection. We only state what is reliably known from the plan’s own details — check those before you rely on a particular start behaviour.

Do I need Data Roaming?

Some travel eSIMs require Data Roaming to be enabled to connect to partner networks. If your eSIM shows signal but no data, try enabling Data Roaming for the eSIM line in your settings.

Can I reinstall an eSIM?

Not always. Many eSIM profiles can only be installed once, so avoid deleting an installed eSIM unless you are certain it can be reinstalled. We do not claim every plan is single-install — only the supplier’s details for your plan are authoritative.

What if I have signal but no internet?

Make sure the eSIM is selected for mobile data, check whether Data Roaming needs to be enabled for the plan, and give the network a few minutes to register. Restarting the device often helps too.

Plans & terms

What does Unlimited mean?

Unlimited plans provide data without a fixed cap, but may be subject to the provider’s fair-use rules, which can reduce speeds after a threshold. Any specifics come from the plan’s own details.

What does No expiry mean?

A no-expiry plan’s data does not lapse after a fixed number of days. Exact behaviour depends on the specific package — check the plan details.

What does Rechargeable mean?

A rechargeable plan lets you top up the same eSIM instead of installing a new one. Availability of top-ups depends on the specific package.

Can I use hotspot / tethering?

Hotspot and tethering availability may depend on the specific network, package and device. Where it is supported, it works like any other mobile data connection.

Orders & access

What happens if I lose my order link?

Use the Recover order page with your order number and the recovery code shown once at checkout. We issue a fresh private link and the old one stops working. We do not require an account or email to access your order.

Still stuck?

Lost your order link? Use Recover order with your order number and recovery code. For anything else, reach us via WhatsApp or Signal from the shop.
